Once again we’re back in NYC, and we have a rather big surprise in our line up: an Andy Milligan play! Yes, at the Jewel Theater we had Milligan’s SECTION 8, which may or may not have been a semi-autobiographical story about his time in the military, and his eventual ousting from it. The script for this was also included in last years reprinting of Jimmy McDonough’s “Ghastly One”, the definitive biography of Milligan. Beyond that we have fair mostly typical for 1971, and we even have a Jim Haskin film in the bunch, KIDNAPPED! at the Mini Cinema (one of the few films with Haskin’s name included in the credits).

After a bit of a break we’re back this week down in sunny Florida again, this time on the Gulf Coast in the Tampa/St. Pete area, where the screens were definitely warming up. It’s interesting to look back now and realize that you could go to a regular family oriented shopping mall, in this case…
