From time to time on Fridays we’ll be posting things that happened exactly 50 years previously (we say “from time to time” because we know ourselves to well to commit to every week). These will typically focus on something in the Smut World, more often than not ads for films and shows in a particular city on that particular date. The following will be the first in the series. Just a couple of quick things to point out. First, for those of you who think that porn in main-stream theaters began with DEEP THROAT, look no further than the Brandt and UA ads here. We have WHAT NEXT? (which I believe is the 1968 Swedish import SWEDISH LOVE PLAY aka CARMILLA) and ALL TOGETHER NOW (also from Sweden), both of the X Rated variety, at the UA theaters, and HE AND SHE at one of the Brandt joints.
And on the burlesque stages we have yet again Gina Bon-Bon and Olga LaBlanch, two favorites at the Capri, although they are at different theaters this week (both still in the Seymore Domore/New Era bucket though). And we also have Tiny Toy at not one, but TWO separate theaters. We’ll have to look in to Ms Toy, because she obviously gets around!
