One of the earlier posts from Capri Show World was based on a single ad in the New York Daily News from December 13, 1971 and the two burlesque dancers featured, Gina Bon Bon and Olga La Blanche. There is a wealth of information on Gina and the post wound up centering on her bio because of this. But for Olga we only found a single other reference, which placed her as the manager of one of the New Era Theaters in 1974. Well I guess the monkeys we hired to do the research were napping on the job that night, because after running in to another ad featuring Olga while putting together the Labor Day 2020 post, we did a bit more digging, and turned up a number of additional ads featuring her, all from 1970. And yet again every one of them were for one of the Seymour Domore/New Era Theaters, of which she became a manager of.
We’ll keep digging, but for now here’s what we’ve found.
