For Black Friday 2020 Vinegar Syndrome offered a VS branded ViewMaster along with a reel of 3D scenes from their release of SILENT MADNESS, and of course I had to grab one. Also this year VS put out another ViewMaster reel of scenes from SEX WORLD. This of course got me thinking…
Remembering David Friedman’s oft repeated statement the “five minutes after they invented the motion picture camera somebody put a naked girl in front of it”, it occurred to me that given all the smut that came from the mid-twentieth century and the popularity of the ViewMaster it stands to reason there must have been dirty ViewMaster reels out there. And of course it didn’t take me long to uncover pay dirt, which I’ll detail over the course of a number of posts in the (near?) future.
MEOPTA
Today we start with a rather odd entry of adult reels from a Czechoslovakian company called Meopta. In addition to reels, most of which were family friendly, Meopta also produced an almost exact knock-off version of the ViewMaster viewer as well. A good history of the company is provided at the Stereo-Reels website, so I won’t go into the background here (if I were to do that then it would be another year before I got this post out!). But I did do some hunting and gathering, and before we get to the good stuff (the girls), here’s a few items which are now part of the Capri Show World collection. And then a bit further down, for your discerning review, we have an ample selection from the Meopta reels themselves, just try to imagine each them in glorious stereo-3D!
